About me - Formally

I am Back-end Software Engineer @ Playlist/Classpass, and I majored as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science by the University of São Paulo. I am mainly interested in Software Architecture and Systems Design.

I am specially drawn to complex architectural challenges and refactoring projects. Nevertheless, there are many other things in life that catch my attention, specially the simple ones.

As hobbies I love to cook and play the guitar. I also enjoy going out for a run, which it is quite fun after those first minutes in which you just want to hit your head really hard.

About me - For real

Behind glasses and screens, I am an average height guy with some passion for the little details in life, even though sometimes life itself gets in the way of being able (time and energy wise) to contemplate them.

I was born in Rio, but moved almost everywhere in Brasil so I am not a real "carioca". Still, despite the chaos of a nomadic life, I think I was lucky to get some perspective sooner than later. Fear of failing is something very new to me, but I would say I am lucky because the long-lasting naivity allowed me to aim high and get even higher than I expected to get to in the first place. Now the fear at least sets for more cautious and calculated decision in life.

I have graduated from university in 6 long and amazing years that included an exchange year. Throughout my degree, I also founded and co-founded many projects and groups in my campus, as well as helped many other initiatives to grow. Bottomline, I feel like I have used 6 years to experience and do a lot more than people usually do and I am confident those things contributed to an early boost in my career and maturity.
